Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, model naming and inspection rules for centrifugal switches for single-phase motors. This standard applies to centrifugal switches used in single-phase motors with a rated voltage of 220 V, a frequency of 50 Hz, and a power of 3700 W and below (see Appendix A for model naming and specifications).
