- Scope
- This part of GB/T20990 specifies the items, requirements and criteria for valve type testing and product testing. This section applies to thyristor valves in grid-commutated converters used for high-voltage direct current transmission or as part of a back-to-back system, with metal oxide arresters directly connected to both ends of the valve. This section is limited to electrical type testing and product testing. The tests specified in this section are based on air-insulated valves. Other types of valves may also refer to the requirements and acceptance criteria of this section.
