- This standard specifies 25-pin connectors and their pin number assignments used on the interface between data terminal equipment (DTE) and data circuit terminating equipment (DCE) or automatic calling equipment (ACE). This standard applies to modems, public data network (PDN) facilities, telegraph signal converters and automatic calling equipment that comply with the voice band of GB 3454 (CCITT recommendation V.24) and GB 3455 (CCITT recommendation V.28).
