Scope

This standard specifies the basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for reciprocating piston air compressor test benches (hereinafter referred to as air compressor test benches) for railway internal combustion and electric locomotives. This standard applies to air compressor test benches used for simplified performance testing of air compressors.
