- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for solid polyolefin insulated horizontally twisted cables for digital communications. This standard also makes corresponding provisions for polyperfluoroethylene-propylene insulated horizontally twisted cables. This standard applies to the manufacture, acceptance and use of solid polyolefin insulated and polyperfluoroethylene propylene insulated horizontally twisted pair cables for digital communications. Foam and foam-skinned polyolefin insulated horizontal cables may also refer to the relevant provisions of this standard. The cables specified in this standard are used for wiring between the communication terminal in the work area and the distribution frame in the transfer room in the building communication integrated wiring system, as well as the wiring between the user communication terminal and the distribution frame in the residential integrated wiring system.
