- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for solid polyolefin insulated horizontally twisted cables for digital communications. This standard also makes corresponding provisions for polyperfluoroethylene-propylene insulated horizontally twisted cables. This standard applies to the manufacture, acceptance and use of solid polyolefin insulated and polyperfluoroethylene propylene insulated horizontally twisted pair cables for digital communications. The cables specified in this standard are used for wiring between the communication outlet of the building's integrated communication wiring system in the work area and the distribution frame in the transfer room.
