- This standard specifies the type, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules of central tube-type fully-filled outdoor single-mode optical cables for communications, as well as the packaging, marking, storage and transportation requirements for optical cable products. This standard applies to center-bundled tube optical cables composed of UV-cured coated single-mode optical fibers. The central bundle tube type optical cable specified in this standard is mainly used in communication systems for digital or analog transmission. The steel-tape longitudinally-coated optical cable is only suitable for aerial laying of rural telephone communications, while the steel-tape longitudinal-coated optical cable is suitable for aerial, pipeline and direct buried laying.
