Scope

This section specifies methods for the determination of total carbon content in carbides and cemented carbides. This section applies to carbides of chromium, hafnium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, titanium, vanadium, tungsten and zirconium, mixtures of these carbides with binder metals (without lubricant) and all grades produced from these carbides Determination of total carbon content in pre-sintered or sintered cemented carbide. Determination range: total carbon content is greater than 4%.
