Scope: This standard specifies the performance requirements and location of key lock starting systems or other similar functional devices for earth-moving machinery. Its purpose is to prevent unauthorized starting of earth-moving machinery. This standard applies to all types of earthmoving machinery defined in GB/T 8498. The key lock activation system specified in this standard does not provide protection for the authorization of the operator of earthmoving machinery, nor does it prevent the abuse, destruction and theft of the machine.
