- Scope
- The purpose of this standard is to describe methods for sampling manganese or chrome ores. It has two parts applicable respectively: First part: to ores loaded on wagons. Second part: ores not loaded on wagons. The processes presented in this second part are either less accurate or less easy to apply in practice than sampling on wagons. Depending on the possibilities, it is recommended to adopt them in the preferential order in which they are classified in this standard. These methods must be used at the ore shipping and receiving locations. They can be used for all manganese or chrome ores. In the appendix, a method for measuring humidity is described, with a view to commercial transactions.
