This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of wire strippers. This standard is applicable to wire strippers that peel off the plastic or rubber insulation layer on the outside of conductors with a core diameter of 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm under non-energized conditions.
