Scope

This standard gives the concept of the component method octane number, and stipulates the method summary and steps for measuring the octane number of vehicle gasoline using a capacitive sensor, applying the component method, and using the SW-2000 gasoline octane number meter. , test conditions and operation details, result expressions, etc., the relationship between the component method octane number and the research method octane number, the motor method octane number and the octane number index are determined. This standard is applicable to the determination of octane number of automobile gasoline. Not suitable for determination of pure hydrocarbons, synthetic fuels, alkylates, coking products and distillate fuels derived from shale and oil sands.
