- This standard specifies the terminology, classification, requirements and test methods for mammography X-ray machines (hereinafter referred to as mammography machines). This standard applies to the use of mammography X-ray machines with X-ray film intensifying screens and contact and magnification operations. This machine is specially used for mammography in medical units. This standard does not apply to special accessories such as digital imaging devices, biopsy boards and stereotaxic devices.
