This part of ISO/IEC 13273 covers overarching concepts and their definitions in the area of energy efficiency. This horizontal standard is intended primarily for use by technical committees that produce standards following the guidelines of IEC Guide 108. The technical committees are responsible, among other things, for using horizontal standards, where applicable, in the preparation of their publications. The contents of this horizontal standard only apply if they are explicitly referred to or included in the relevant publications.
