This Technical Specification lists basic properties generally determined for nanoparticles in powder form. It specifies special measurement methods for each of these properties. This Technical Specification does not establish acceptable quantitative criteria for the characteristics as these are to be agreed between vendors, customers and regulatory authorities. Excluded from this Technical Specification are properties that relate specifically to health, safety and environmental issues, as well as properties that relate to specific applications of nanoparticles in powder form.
