EN ISO 18134-2:2015 Solid biofuels - Determination of moisture content - Oven dry method - Part 2: Total moisture - Simplified method (ISO 18134-2:2015)
This part of ISO 18134 specifies the method for determining the total water content of a test sample of biogenic solid fuels by drying in an oven and may be used when the highest precision is not required, e.g. B. for routine production control in the company. The procedure set out in this document applies to all biogenic solid fuels. The water content of biogenic solid fuels (as delivered) is always stated based on the total mass of the test sample (wet mass reference basis). NOTE The term water content can be misleading when used in the context of biomass materials because untreated biomass often contains varying amounts of volatile compounds (extractants) which can evaporate during oven drying during the determination of water content (see references).
