This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, sampling, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and acceptance of cosmetic-grade white oil made from deeply refined petroleum lubricating oil fractions. The products covered by this standard are suitable for use as base oils for mois urizers, sunscreens, emollient oils, shower oils, hair care products and ointments, and can also be used as neutral and protective diluents for other cosmetic ingredients. The products covered by this standard can also be used for the lubrication of cosmetic production machinery and release agents for packaging containers.
