This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and custody of automobile air conditioning controllers (hereinafter referred to as controllers). This standard applies to M and N class automotive air conditioning system controllers. Other motor vehicle air conditioning controllers can be implemented with reference.
