Scope

Construction and calculation rules are listed that apply to rectangular containers for the construction of apparatus made of thermoplastic materials. The containers can be reinforced from the outside with ribs or frames made of the same or stiffer plastics or steel. The plate theory was generally used for the calculation. Explanations are also made about the membrane theory.
