Scope
This guidance technical document presents design recommendations on icons for accessibility to special groups such as the elderly and persons with disabilities. Such suggestions help users easily access all icons. These recommendations are made not only to meet the needs of the elderly and disabled, but also to provide better accessibility for a wide range of users in many different contexts. This guiding technical document introduces the attributes and operations implemented with the characteristics of graphical icons, which implements the characteristics of graphical icons, thereby improving the accessibility of these icons to the greatest extent. This guiding technical document specifically emphasizes text attributes, which can be presented in different forms. ISO/IEC 11581-1 provides guidance on the graphic aspects of icons. This guiding technical document does not contain specific renderings.
