Scope
This standard describes the soil sampling of the following sites: - natural and near-natural sites; - agricultural areas (cultivated land and pasture sites); - horticultural areas (including home gardens, community vegetable gardens); - special crop cultivation, tree planting , vineyards and other areas; - forest areas and woodlands. This standard applies to: ——Soil investigation and evaluation in the field; ——Description of chemical, geochemical, physical, biological and radioactive characteristics of soil and soil substances in the laboratory after sampling. This standard provides appropriate methods for sampling program design, field handling procedures, and pre-sample preparation (eg drying, grinding) prior to transport and storage.
