Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of polyolefin separators for lithium-ion batteries (referred to as separators). This standard applies to separators for lithium-ion batteries that use polyolefin resin as the main raw material. Coated polyolefin separators for lithium-ion batteries or separators for lithium-ion batteries using other materials can be implemented with reference to this standard.
