This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and model naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of heaters for aquariums and similar purposes. This standard is applicable to devices with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, a rated input power not exceeding 3 000 W, with a temperature control device, a maximum set temperature value not exceeding 36°C, and all heating parts directly immersed in water, for use in aquariums or similar Heater (hereinafter referred to as "heater"). This standard also applies to heaters used by non-professionals in shops, restaurants and aquaculture farms. This standard does not apply to heaters intended to work in a state where the heating part is not directly immersed or partially immersed in water.
