Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the length and length distribution parameters of cashmere fibers by photoelectric method. This standard applies to carded cashmere. This standard does not apply to cashmere strips, cashmere loose fibers removed from yarns, or mixtures of cashmere with other fibers. Other animal fibers with an average length similar to cashmere can also use this method.
