This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of potassium magnesium sulfate fertilizer. This standard applies to potassium and magnesium sulfate fertilizer products containing magnesium, sulfur and other moderate elements that are produced from salt lake brine or solid potassium and magnesium salt mines only through physical extraction or direct removal of impurities. This standard does not apply to products blended with potassium sulfate and magnesium compounds.
