- This standard specifies the method for determining the sewability of sewing threads (flat seams). This standard applies to polyester, nylon, vinylon, aramid, cotton sewing threads, cotton waxed sewing threads, core-spun sewing threads and other products used for sewing clothing and home textile fabrics. Sewing threads for other uses can be implemented by reference.
