Scope

This document describes the impact of environmental conditions to steel structures. It comprises atmospheric as well as immersion conditions and gives a classification system for different atmospheric environments on the basic of corrosivity categories. This document also describes different immersion categories which are of importance for the selection or protective paint systems.
