This standard specifies a method for evaluating the difference between a test result of a verification standard (CS) material and its standard value (ARV), determining the corresponding acceptable tolerance interval, and estimating the probability that a single test result falls outside the tolerance interval. This standard is applicable to the judgment of whether laboratory test methods that produce continuous numerical results are biased. It is not applicable to the evaluation of multiple test results obtained from the same CS material under field precision or repeatability conditions.
