Scope: This standard specifies the classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage of marine low-pressure external thread bronze check valves (hereinafter referred to as check valves). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of check valves for seawater, fresh water, fuel oil, lubricating oil and steam in ships with a temperature not higher than 250 °C.
