This International Standard specifies graphic symbols for dental equipment. It is intended that the symbols will be used on the relevant items of dental equipment and in documents relating to dental equipment, e.g. B. Instructions for use, marking, label and technical product documentation. The symbols are specifically designed for all types of dental equipment. Most symbols have been adopted from the relevant ISO, IEC or other international documents. Various new symbols suggested by manufacturers or users have been included. NOTE In addition to the terms given in two of the three official ISO language versions (English, French and Russian), this International Standard contains equivalent terms in the German language; these appear under the responsibility of the member for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms in the official ISO languages may be considered ISO terms.
