This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the selection of insulators for electrified railway contact networks under polluted conditions, pollution types and environmental types, on-site pollution assessment, pollution levels and selection principles, etc. This standard applies to disc-shaped suspended porcelain and glass insulator string components, rod-shaped suspended porcelain and composite insulators, rod-shaped columnar porcelain and composite insulators for electrified railway contact network lines with an AC nominal voltage of 25 kV. Other forms of insulators can Refer to use. This standard does not cover the effects of ice, snow or altitude on insulators.
