This standard specifies the grades and markings, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, and quality certificates of high-carbon steel strips for surface use (hereinafter referred to as "steel strips"). This standard is applicable to high-carbon steel strips with a thickness of no more than 1.0 mm and a width of no more than 50 mm for manufacturing watch parts. Steel strips for other precis on mechanical parts can also be used with reference.
