Scope

This standard specifies the type, size, thread tolerance, technical conditions, marking and packaging of small diameter uniform thread extrusion taps (common grade and high performance grade) used in the IT industry. This standard is applicable to the processing of small diameter unified threads (GB/T 20666~GB/T 20670) with nominal diameters of 0-80UNF~8-36UNF and 1-64UNC~8-32UNC on non-ferrous metal and low-strength ferrous metal parts. Unified thread extrusion tap (hereinafter referred to as tap).
