Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the loss of thickness of carpets after prolonged and heavy static loading. This standard applies to all carpets of the same thickness and construction. This standard does not apply to carpets of more than one thickness or construction at the same time, unless separate tests can be made for areas of different thicknesses or constructions.
