This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation requirements of food additive vitamin E. This standard applies to vitamin E prepared by chemical synthesis from trimethylhydroquinone and isophytic alcohol. It can be added to food as a nutritional enhancer, and it can also be used as an anti-oxidant.
