EN ISO 8502-3:2017 PDF

Scope: This part of ISO 8502 describes a method for assessing dust on cleaned steel surfaces prepared for coating. It contains images for evaluating the average amount of dust and descriptions for evaluating the average particle size of the dust. The method is suitable for assessing dust remaining after cleaning on a steel surface that had rust grade A, B or C according to ISO 8501-1 before cleaning. It can be used as a pass/fail test, or designed to keep a permanent record of dust present on a surface. NOTE The quantity and size assessments in this part of ISO 8502 are derived from ISO 4628-1.
