This International Standard specifies the drawing entries for a cone (right-angled circular cones) to define its dimension or specify its tolerancing. For the purpose of this International Standard, the term "cone" refers only to right-angled circular cones (any point of intersection by a plane perpendicular to the axis of the nominal cone is a circle). NOTE 1 For simplicity, only truncated cones have been presented in this International Standard. However, this International Standard can be applied to any type of cone within its scope. NOTE 2 It is not the intent of this International Standard to exclude the use of other methods of dimensioning and tolerance setting.
