EN ISO 148-3:2016 PDF

Scope: This part of ISO 148 covers the requirements, preparation and procedures for demonstrating the suitability of test specimens for the indirect testing of pendulum impact devices according to ISO 148-2. Notched specimens are specified with nominal dimensions equivalent to those specified in ISO 148-1, but with tighter tolerances. NOTE 1 The chemical composition and/or heat treatment is/are varied depending on the desired energy level. NOTE 2 Reference samples are qualified on reference pendulum impact machines, which are also described in this part of ISO 148.
