This International Standard specifies minimum requirements for the safety of people when using UV-C lamps. It applies to UV-C systems in air ducts, UV-C systems for disinfecting the upper air area of a room, portable UV-C devices for indoor disinfection and for all other UV-C devices that have a UV-C May cause human exposure. It does not apply to UV-C products used for water disinfection.
