This International Standard specifies two methods for determining the tensile strength of textiles coated with rubber or plastics. - Method 1 - the strip test method, which determines tensile strength and elongation at break;
——Method 2 - the Grab test method, which determines tensile strength only. The procedures apply both to test specimens in equilibrium with normal climates specified for testing and to test specimens for wet tensile testing. For both methods, a tensile testing machine with a constant rate of extension (CRE) is required.
