- Scope
- This International Standard specifies the conditions for determining the properties of continuous fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites subjected to compression at temperatures up to 2000 °C. This International Standard applies to all continuous fiber reinforced ceramic matrix composites with unidirectional (1D), bidirectional (2D) and multidirectional (xD, with 2 < x 3) reinforcement with the stress along one of the main reinforcement axes. Two types of compressive stress are distinguished: a) compressive stress between plates; b) Compressive stress with clamping devices.
