This part of ISO 14405 introduces the default specification operator for angular size measures and specifies a number of special specification operators for angular size measure elements with angular size measures of type: cone (truncated, i.e. truncated cone, or not), wedge (truncated or not), two opposite straight lines (intersection a wedge/truncated wedge and a plane perpendicular to the line of intersection of the two planes of the wedge/truncated wedge, intersection of a cone/truncated cone and a plane that includes the axis of rotation of the cone/truncated cone). This part of ISO 14405 also specifies the specification modifiers and drawing details for these angular size measures. This part of ISO 14405 covers the following angular size measures:
——local angular size measure;
——Angle size measure between two lines;
——Partial angle size measure;
——global angular size measure;
——direct global angular size measure;
——Least squares angular size measure;
——Minimax angle size measure;
——Ranking angular size measure/indirect global angular size measure;
——largest angular size measure;
——smallest angle size measure;
——mean value of the angular size measure;
——Range of angular size measurements;
——Average value of the largest and smallest angular size measure;
——median value of the angular size measure;
——Standard deviation of angle size measures. This part of ISO 14405 specifies the meaning of tolerances for angular size dimensions, stated;
——as + and/or - limit deviation, e.g. B. 0°/-0.5°; or;
——with an upper limit of a size measure (ULS, en: upper limit of size) and/or a lower limit of a size measure (LLS, en: lower limit of size), e.g. B. 35° max. or 15° min. or 34°/36°;
——with or without modifiers. This part of ISO 14405 provides a set of tools to express different types of angular size measurement characteristics. It does not contain any information about the relationship between a function or use and an angular size characteristic.
