Scope
This International Standard specifies requirements for environmental supplier declarations including declarations, symbols and graphic representations for products. It also defines selected terms that are frequently used in environmental statements and provides information on their application. This International Standard also specifies a general procedure for the evaluation and verification of environmental supplier statements and specific evaluation and verification procedures for the statements selected in this International Standard. This International Standard does not exclude, waive or modify in any way any legally required environmental information, statement or label or other applicable legal requirement.
