This part of ISO 10140 specifies test requirements for components and products, including detailed requirements for preparation, fastening, operating and test conditions, as well as applicable sizes and additional information to be included in the test report. The general procedures for measuring airborne sound and impact sound insulation are contained in ISO 10140-2 and ISO 10140-3, respectively.
