- Scope
- This standard specifies the design requirements, technical characteristics and inspection methods of airborne radioactive iodine monitoring equipment in the environment. This standard applies to mobile or fixed equipment for monitoring airborne radioactive iodine (131I, 125I) at a height of one to several meters above the ground outside buildings and facilities. This standard does not apply to equipment for monitoring gaseous effluent radioactive iodine and the monitoring of 129I, nor does it involve sample extraction and laboratory analysis other than the equipment itself.
