This standard specifies the antibacterial and sterilizing terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods and markings for household and similar electric clothes dryers (hereinafter referred to as dryers) with antibacterial and sterilizing functions. This standard applies to tumble dryers and electric heater dryers used in homes and similar situations that have antibacterial and sterilizing functions expressly stated on the appliance or in the instructions for use. It also applies to the drying program of household washers and dryers. .
