This standard specifies the method for the determination of migrating organotin content in toy materials. The lower limit of determination of this method is 1 mg/kg. This standard applies to the following accessible toy materials: Category 1 dry, brittle, powdery or flexible toy materials; Category 2 liquid or vis ous toy materials; Category 3 toy materials that can be scraped. Packaging materials are not included within the scope of this section unless they are intended to be retained, such as boxes, containers, or unless they form part of a toy or are designed to have play value.
