- This standard specifies the measurement of the flow characteristics of pneumatic components--serial sonic exhaust method. This standard applies to pneumatic components that use compressed air as the working medium and whose internal flow path remains unchanged during the test. Examples include directional control valves, flow control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic logic components. This standard does not apply to components that exchange energy with compressed air. Such as cylinders etc.
