Scope
This standard specifies the sodium ferrocyanide spectrophotometric method for the determination of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine in water. This method is suitable for the determination of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine in surface water and aerospace industry wastewater. The determination range of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine: 0.01~1.0mg/L. When the unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine content in the water sample is greater than 1.0 mg/L, it can be diluted and determined according to this method. Ammonia and urea basically do not interfere with the determination of this method. The content of hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine and formaldehyde interferes with the determination if the content of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is more than 5 times.
