Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation and test methods for the quality of high-energy laser beams using β-factor, BQ-factor, BPF-factor and M-matrix. This standard applies to the evaluation and testing of the beam quality of high-energy lasers with a duration of not less than 0.25 s, a power of not less than 10 kW, or a pulse energy of not less than 500 J. The evaluation of other types of high-energy lasers can be implemented by reference.
